Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's largest financial successes, regularly earning huge paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters met for the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
